More deathmetal riffing, a bit easier to follow than the other bands and a big fat heavy sound and a fair bit of tempo and riff changes.
Theres one song with a Regurgitate barfy vocal that just seemed a bit cheesey, but it wasn’t excessive mostly its ultra low/mid high scratchy voice. Super low grunts and some barfy stuff even some early Gut/CBT type vox. Vomigod yet another band i don’t know, once again too deathmetal. The bass is fat and has a couple small solos, its a heavy sound but not my thing. The riffs are too choppy for me and i just dont like them, impossible for me to get into. The sound isnt bad for being live but they probably sound alot better vocal wise in studio. The riffs are Deathmetal, alot of stuff that sounds like Cannibal Corpse or Regurgitated or something. At times the vocals sound really strained maybe because its a live recording, reminds me of Malignant Tumour demo’s in that way. The music is far too Brutal Deathmetal for me as are the other non FATO bands. The vocals are super low gurgles and some higher scratchy vox, cool in that respect. Lapidate This is another band i havent heard before, i liked thier first song but little else. Once again a decent set by FATO this time sounding way better quality wise yet still basement recording. All the songs are cool, none of them suck, since theres no guitars theres no shitty leads. The songs are the same ones from thier various recordings redone, cool covers and originals. The vocals are low barfy yells like Rot and at times similar to FTAO, theres also high squacky yells, its all mixed up well i think as they trade verses too. the bass lines are cool and in a grindcore style, easy to follow and catchy.
#LAPIDATE DEATHMETAL BAND FULL#
Again there are no guitars just bass/drums and 3 vocals, still this band is pretty cool but i would like a full length CD with some good quality, i dont like these split bands, the rehearsal split had much better bands in my opinion, i just dont like deathmetal. Once again its the same songs but this time they sound better, pretty good quality finally.
The tempos and riffs change up a bit but not excessively, theres some really annoying guitar solos but no intro’s, this doesnt really suck but its deffinately not my taste.įATO well it’s FATO, this is where my interest in this CDR lies. Theres no lack of skill here and the sound quality is very good, all production aspects are good. There are alot of choppy riffs with some high scales, something like a Cannibal Corpse or Broken Hope sound but i find both of those bands to be better than Devoured. The vocals are low growls in a deathmetal style at times reminding me of Broken Hope also theres some lesser used highs that are in a grindcore style but they’re much less used. I’ve never heard Devoured before and wasnt missing much, theres a few grinding parts but overall the riffing and vocals are really deathmetal, i find it hard to get into.
